La cultura laboral es el grupo de creencias, rituales, comportamientos y valores que se practican en una empresa para relacionarse interna y externamente; métodos de trabajo y tipo de líderes.
El desarrollo de la cultura laboral u organizacional, como también se le llama, puede originarse de dos formas:
- La estructura de la empresa
Cada empresa debe diseñar su propia cultura; definir sus valores, creencias y comportamientos para permear las costumbres con su esencia y formar una organización coherente. Transmitir un sentido de pertenencia y generar compromiso con la organización.
- Las prácticas y costumbres de los empleados
Otra manera de formar la cultura son las prácticas de los empleados, sucede cuando la empresa no ha formado su propia cultura o no ha sido lo suficientemente fuerte.
Cada empleado aporta un poco de su valor y las prácticas se modifican con el aporte de todos. El problema es que no siempre las prácticas de todos los empleados son saludables para la organización y sus intereses.
La importancia de la cultura laboral
Hoy en día, las empresas más importantes e innovadoras apuestan por la práctica de la cultura organizacional para la mejora de sus procesos internos y externos con sus trabajadores, proveedores y clientes.
Se ha comprobado que las personas eligen ofertas de trabajo en compañías con un buen ambiente laboral, aunque eso implique un salario más bajo que en una donde no se realizan.
¿Cómo se distingue una buena cultura laboral?
- Tiene nada o poca rotación de personal.
- Sus colaboradores se sienten satisfechos y comprometidos con la empresa.
- La empresa tiene buen prestigio y su imagen es reconocida.
- Tiene códigos de comportamiento y se respetan.
- Los salarios y las condiciones de trabajo son dignas y conforme a la ley.
- Sus valores se reflejan en sus prácticas internas y externas.
- Se respetan los derechos de todas las personas.
¿Quién o quiénes se encargan de la cultura laboral?
Los gerentes de recursos humanos y su equipo son los principales involucrados en el cambio y la implementación de la cultura laboral, al ser quienes se encargan de la gestión de personal.
¿Cómo mantener la cultura laboral en el tiempo?
Es importante que las prácticas de la cultura se transmitan a cada nuevo integrante, mostrar la forma de hacerlo más que la acción de decirlo, es la mejor forma de transmitirlo, para que la cultura continúe vigente.
Conforme el tiempo, la empresa puede cambiar y con ello la cultura puede tener modificaciones, sin embargo, deben ser cambios consientes y siempre manteniendo prácticas saludables y que favorezcan a todos.
